Supporting Women: Stay-at-Home Moms, Professionals, Doing a Bit of Both, or Moving from One Stage of Life to the Next
For the 15 years I was a stay at home mom, I struggled with shame because money was tight and my college degree (that came with loans) wasn't earning us money. I watched other families take vacations and keenly felt the sacrifice of my career to nurture my family. After returning to the workforce and pursuing a career, I've struggled with guilt over the time my work has taken me away from my family. But I had good strong reasons for each decision I made: staying at home and returning to work. What I've learned is that we all struggle with many of the same issues and I'm here to help women learn that they are not alone and can find support from other women who have been, and many who still are, where they are in life.
